YOUR TASKS

The job description is meant to give you just a small insight. You probably already have an idea of what your tasks will look like. That’s why we’d rather say a few words about our coding philosophy. Alex, our CTO, has a word for it: elegance.
Elegant code is not just functional and efficient. It is also easy to read, easy to understand, and to maintain. This code is simply beautiful in its simplicity and clarity.
Let’s discuss your tasks in more detail in conversation. Nevertheless, here is a very rough overview:

  • From the beginning, you are involved in all events of agile development and learn with immediate practical reference what they are for.
  • You accompany experienced developers in workshops with our customers, where first their requirements are analyzed and later poured into an implementable backlog.
  • You then program the resulting features. Alex will show you how to do that. You can then practice in pairs with your teammates.
  • You submit pull requests for your code or work on those of your colleagues. A great way to learn, we think.
  • The development of an application never stops. But the focus shifts. That’s why you also do a deep dive into Azure and into our managed service during your training.

YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES

First things first: We want to see the person behind the CV. Dropping out of university or your grades tell us nothing about your personality. So, if programming is your passion or you are sure that it could become yours, then tell us about it in your application.

  • You absorb knowledge like a sponge and are eager to become one of the best developers you can imagine.
  • You are persistent and bite through when things get tough.
  • You are passionate about analyzing complex problems and even more so about finding the best solution for them.
  • You can distill complex matters down to the essentials and explain them to people who are not familiar with the topic.
  • You already feel, that being able to ask for help is a display of strength and confidence. It shows an understanding of your abilities and awareness of what’s happening around you.
  • You are open-minded and personable, which enables you to quickly establish a solid relationship with the people around you.


HOW TO APPLY?

We are curious and want to know who you are. That's why we prefer reading personal and meaningful lines about why you want to become a developer rather than endless CVs and countless scans of references. Most of the cover letters and resumees are similar and tell us nothing about the person behind it. We cannot distinguish based on these documents who is likely to be a good fit for our team. But we want to get a real and authentic glimpse of who you are before we make our decision.
